Biopad Collagen Dressing is an equine collagen primary wound dressing that can accelerate the closure of hard-to-heal wounds, and enhance the wound healing process. It is indicated for pressure ulcers, venous insufficiency ulcers, diabetic ulcers, partial- and full-thickness wounds, surgical and traumatic wounds, donor sites and other bleeding surface wounds, draining wounds, lacerations, podiatric, post-laser surgery and dehisced surgical incisions.
- Biopad Collagen Dressing conforms readily to wound
- Usable on infected wounds
- Silicone-based adhesive
- Compatible with topicals
Apply BIOPAD directly to the wound using a sufficient amount to completely cover the wound bed. For dry wounds, hydrate BIOPAD™ to initiate the gelling process. Secure BIOPAD™ with a secondary dressing.
Removal and Change Frequency
The gel that is formed by interaction with the wound exudate is biodegradable and does not need to be removed at each dressing change.
Secure BIOPAD with Comfort Release dressing included in bundle.
The center transparent window is made of a
thin sheet of polyurethane material, highly breathable with a low level of
adhesion and is waterproof for better wound healing and skin health. The border
is a nonwoven film with a strong acyclic adhesive with a triggered easy skin
1 Box of 10 Dressings
Includes 20 Alcohol Prep Pads for Removal
For Sensitive Skin
• Easy to apply
• Highly breathable (MVTR >5000)
• Triggered painless release
• Eliminates skin injuries when properly removed
• Strong skin bonding
DIRECTIONS: Apply the dressing to clean, dry skin for strong skin bonding. Remove any soap residue or lotion. If necessary, clean the skin with alcohol and allow to dry. Peel the release paper. Apply the dressing over the skin area and gently press down on the dressing.
To remove, simply swipe the dry border area with rubbing alcohol – we recommend using two enclosed alcohol prep pads. If needed add more alcohol for painless release. The clear window film can be removed without discomfort due to its low skin bond.
WARNING: Seek professional help for medical emergencies. Consult a physician for deep or penetrating wounds. If irritation or redness develops or persists,
discontinue use and consult a physician. People with prior skin reactions to acrylic adhesives, skin burns, or allergic reactions to rubbing alcohol should not use Comfort Release.
